HypeApps is one person building a framework in public. There are no ads, no third-party trackers, no analytics SDKs, and nothing is ever sold or shared. Here is the complete picture.
Effective July 19, 2026 · applies to hypeapps.dev and the Hype Apps showcase app
The website (hypeapps.dev)
Waitlist & idea submissions. If you join the waitlist or describe your dream app, we store what you typed and your email address. It is used for exactly one thing: telling you about HypeApps. No newsletters you didn't ask for, no sharing, ever.
Request logs. Like nearly every website, our server records basic request data — page path, IP address, browser user agent, and referrer — used in aggregate to understand traffic and prevent abuse. No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no third-party analytics.
Cookies. A single first-party session cookie that Laravel uses for security (CSRF). It identifies your session, not you, and tracks nothing.
The showcase app (Hype Apps)
No account, no sign-in, no profile. The app has nothing to identify you with.
Server-driven screens. The app fetches its markup from our server, which produces the same standard request logs as the website (path, IP, user agent). That is the only data that leaves your phone.
Camera & photos stay on your device. The camera and image-picker demos render entirely on your phone. Nothing you capture or select is uploaded, stored, or seen by us.
Motion sensors stay on your device. The accelerometer demos (shake meters and friends) are computed locally and displayed to you. Readings are never transmitted.
No third-party SDKs. No ad networks, no analytics, no crash-reporting services phoning home.
What we never do
Sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
Track you across other sites or apps.
Profile you, advertise to you, or let anyone else do either.
Your data, your call
Want your waitlist entry or submissions deleted? Email laz@communityfluency.com and it's gone. Request logs rotate out on their own.
Changes
If this policy ever changes in a way that matters, the effective date above changes with it and the substance will be called out here — not buried.
